We had a lovely stay in the Deluxe Family Room. The view over the river was simply stunning, and the warm welcome from the hosts made us feel right at home. the steep hill to get there was a bit of a trek after a long day exploring!

The stay certainly was exceptional value. The hotel was lovely, had panoramic views and incredible location adjacent to the Smugglers Cott-brilliant restaurant, steepish hill, and the train station. The double room was bright, it included coffee and a lovely balcony. All in all it's spotless place, has very clean beds and the staff were very friendly people on our request by the owner.

beautiful views, spacious balcony rooms, good garden spaces
The steep hill to access the hotel is a real hassle, especially if you're lugging heavy bags!!! Room sizes are disappointingly cramped, and the noise isolation needs serious attention-heard everything from neighbors at all hours.

The breakfast options were diverse and delicious, catering well to dietary needs.
Unfortunately, the steep hill leading to the guesthouse was exhausting and quite inconvenient. Our room was also unexpectedly cramped with minimal space to move around, difficult to relax. The lack of cleanliness during our four-day stay was disheartening, as no housekeeping was performed during that time.

The steep incline to reach this guesthouse is enough to make anyone consider their life choices. My room was unbelievably cramped, no space to breathe! And of course, there woudl ve been no harm in receiving a complimentary gesture for all the inconvenience. I almost considered a good review, but then, not quite.

The hosts were cute and went the extra mile to accommodate our needs, including detailed pre-arrival guidance and helpful information about accessibility options. The breakfast was a bright spot, with delicious choices that catered well to different dietary requirements. Relaxing on the patio with a complimentary drink after conquering the hill with our bags was such a treat!
